DEER CREEK, MN<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2013 A 35-year-old Park Rapids woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in Otter Tail County.<\/p>\n

Rhonda Marie Lewis, 35, was identified as the driver who suffered fatal injuries in the Wednesday, November 4, 2026, collision.<\/p>\n

Two young men from Alexandria also suffered injuries when the pickups collided near Deer Creek.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol has updated its original report to classify the accident as fatal.<\/p>\n

Two Pickup Trucks Collide on Highway 29<\/h2>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 10:54 a.m. near Highway 29 and Spaghetti Road.<\/p>\n

Lewis was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound along Highway 29.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a 2005 Toyota Tundra was traveling westbound on the highway.<\/p>\n

The two pickups collided near the intersection, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were reported as wet when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n

Both vehicles had airbag deployment during the collision.<\/p>\n

Park Rapids Woman Suffers Fatal Injuries<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol identified the deceased driver as Rhonda Marie Lewis, 35, of Park Rapids, Minnesota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lewis was wearing her seat belt when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n

Astera Hospital was listed as her healthcare facility following the accident.<\/p>\n

Initial reports described her injuries as life-threatening. Updated State Patrol information now lists her injuries as fatal.<\/p>\n

The report does not specify when or where Lewis died.<\/p>\n

Two Alexandria Men Injured<\/h2>\n

The Toyota Tundra was driven by Owen Jon Ecker, 21, of Alexandria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Owen suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Astera Hospital.<\/p>\n

His passenger, Noah Hollis Ecker, 19, of Alexandria<\/strong>, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The report did not list a hospital for Noah.<\/p>\n

Both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Respond to Fatal Crash<\/h2>\n

Several emergency agencies assisted at the crash scene.<\/p>\n

Responding agencies included the Deer Creek Fire Department, Wadena Fire Department, and Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Henning Ambulance and Astera Ambulance also responded.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol’s Detroit Lakes district handled the investigation.<\/p>\n

Alcohol Not Suspected in Collision<\/h2>\n

According to the State Patrol, alcohol was not suspected as a contributing factor for either driver.<\/p>\n
