When: Wednesday, November 4, 9:15 p.m. Central time<\/p>\n

Road Conditions: Dry<\/p>\n

Weather Conditions: Clear<\/p>\n

Crash Involvement: Vehicle\/Train<\/p>\n

Type of Crash: T-bone<\/p>\n

Agencies Involved: North Dakota State Patrol, Burke County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Lignite Fire Department, Portal Ambulance<\/p>\n

Vehicle No. 1: 2020 Ram 3500
\nDriver No. 1: Male, 62, Lignite, fatal injuries
\nRestraints: Seatbelt in use<\/p>\n

NARRATIVE: On Wednesday, November 4 at approximately 9:15 p.m., a Ram 3500 was traveling south on 82nd Avenue Northwest when it struck a moving eastbound train at a passive crossing. The driver of the Ram 3500 died at the scene. No one on the train was injured.<\/p>\n

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota State Patrol.
