GLENWOOD TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Four people were injured Tuesday evening when an ambulance and a passenger car collided head-on in Pope County.<\/p>\n

One driver suffered life-threatening injuries, while three ambulance occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol reports the accident happened around 5:34 p.m. on November 3, 2026.<\/p>\n

The collision occurred along Highway 55 near 185th Avenue in Glenwood Township.<\/p>\n

Ambulance and Pontiac Collide Head-On<\/h2>\n

According to the State Patrol, a 2024 Ford Econoline ambulance was traveling westbound on Highway 55.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling eastbound on the same highway.<\/p>\n

The two vehicles collided head-on near 185th Avenue.<\/p>\n

Both vehicles had their airbags deploy during the collision.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported wet road conditions at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n

However, investigators have not established whether road conditions contributed to the collision.<\/p>\n

76-Year-Old Glenwood Man Seriously Injured<\/h2>\n

The Pontiac Grand Am was driven by Ronald Lynn Dziengel, 76, of Glenwood, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Dziengel suffered injuries classified as life-threatening by the Minnesota State Patrol.<\/p>\n

He was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for emergency medical treatment.<\/p>\n

Authorities confirmed Dziengel was wearing his seat belt when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

Additional information about his condition following hospitalization was not released.<\/p>\n

Vivian Kay-Jones Mobley, 21, of Brooten, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Spencer Ronald Sundberg, 34, of Glenwood, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Both passengers were transported to Glacial Ridge Hospital for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol reports Solomon and Sundberg were wearing seat belts.<\/p>\n

However, Mobley was not wearing a seat belt when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n

The report does not identify the passengers’ roles or indicate whether the ambulance was responding to an emergency.<\/p>\n

Alcohol Suspected Involving Pontiac Driver<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol listed alcohol as suspected involving Dziengel, the Pontiac driver.<\/p>\n

However, the report does not establish that alcohol caused the crash.<\/p>\n

It also does not identify any arrests or criminal charges.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected for the three ambulance occupants.<\/p>\n
