HIBBING, MINNESOTA<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Four people, including two young boys, were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Hibbing.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol reports the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on November 3, 2026.<\/p>\n

The collision occurred at Highway 169 and 11th Avenue West in St. Louis County.<\/p>\n

Authorities say a Ford Focus entered the intersection against a red traffic signal and struck a Chevrolet Equinox.<\/p>\n

Ford Focus Runs Red Light, Strikes Turning SUV<\/h2>\n

According to the State Patrol, a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling southbound on Highway 169.<\/p>\n

The SUV was making a left turn at 11th Avenue West with a green turn arrow.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a 2014 Ford Focus was traveling northbound on Highway 169.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the Focus driver entered the intersection against a red light and struck the turning Equinox.<\/p>\n

Both vehicles had their airbags deploy during the collision.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were dry when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n

Two Young Boys Among Four Injured<\/h2>\n

The Ford Focus was driven by Gina Marie Ross, 69, of Hibbing.<\/p>\n

Ross suffered injuries classified as non-life-threatening by the Minnesota State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Three passengers in her vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

They included two boys, ages 6 and 8, and Keith Robert Passeri, 33, of Hibbing.<\/p>\n

All four injured occupants were taken to Fairview for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol confirmed everyone inside the Ford was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

Additional details about their injuries or conditions following treatment were not released.<\/p>\n

Chevrolet Driver Escapes Injury<\/h2>\n

The Chevrolet Equinox was driven by Benjamin Allen Wagner, 38, of Hibbing.<\/p>\n

Wagner was not injured in the collision and did not require hospital treatment.<\/p>\n

Authorities confirmed he was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

The Chevrolet’s airbags deployed during the crash.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected for anyone involved, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Respond to Highway 169<\/h2>\n

The Hibbing Police Department assisted the Minnesota State Patrol following the collision.<\/p>\n

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office also responded.<\/p>\n

Hibbing Fire Department and ambulance personnel assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n

Emergency responders provided medical assistance to those injured in the accident.<\/p>\n

No fatalities were reported.<\/p>\n
