NORTH MANKATO, MINNESOTA<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 71-year-old Becker man was injured Monday evening when two SUVs collided on a Highway 169 exit ramp.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol reports the accident happened around 6:54 p.m. on November 2, 2026.<\/p>\n

The crash occurred on the northbound Highway 169 exit ramp leading to Belgrade Avenue in North Mankato.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported wet road conditions at the time of the collision.<\/p>\n

Two SUVs Collide on Highway 169 Exit Ramp<\/h2>\n

According to the State Patrol, a 2017 Honda CR-V and a 2015 Buick Encore were traveling northbound on Highway 169.<\/p>\n

Both vehicles were on the exit ramp toward Belgrade Avenue when they made contact.<\/p>\n

The Honda’s airbags deployed during the collision.<\/p>\n

However, the Buick’s airbags did not deploy.<\/p>\n

Investigators have not released additional details explaining how the vehicles collided.<\/p>\n

Authorities also have not identified which driver, if either, was responsible for the crash.<\/p>\n

The Honda CR-V was driven by Timothy Earl Hammett, 71, of Becker, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Hammett suffered injuries classified as non-life-threatening by the Minnesota State Patrol.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol confirmed Hammett was wearing a seat belt when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n

Additional information about his injuries or condition following treatment was not released.<\/p>\n

Two North Mankato Men Escape Injury<\/h2>\n

The Buick Encore was driven by Paul Ryan Woelfel, 43, of North Mankato.<\/p>\n

His passenger was Jonathan Richard Henry, 38, also of North Mankato.<\/p>\n

Neither man reported injuries following the collision.<\/p>\n

Both occupants were wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Neither required hospital transportation.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected for any of the three people involved in the accident.<\/p>\n

Authorities confirmed the roadway was wet when the two vehicles collided.<\/p>\n
