NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Four people were injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Kandiyohi County.<\/p>\n

One woman suffered life-threatening injuries, while three others sustained injuries considered non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

The collision happened around 8:23 p.m. on October 31, 2026.<\/p>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at Highway 23 and County Road 31 near New London.<\/p>\n

Authorities also reported that alcohol was suspected in connection with occupants of one vehicle.<\/p>\n

Hyundai and Lincoln Collide at Intersection<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol reports a 2026 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on Highway 23.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus was traveling eastbound on County Road 31.<\/p>\n

The two vehicles collided at the intersection.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were dry when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n

The Hyundai’s airbags deployed during the collision, but the Lincoln’s airbags did not.<\/p>\n

Authorities did not specify which driver, if either, caused the crash.<\/p>\n

Willmar Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries<\/h2>\n

Aden Jelle Kassim, 26, of Willmar, Minnesota, was driving the Hyundai Sonata.<\/p>\n

Kassim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare in Willmar.<\/p>\n

His passenger, Hasilo Ann Ibrahim, 56, also of Willmar, suffered life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim was transported to the same medical facility for emergency treatment.<\/p>\n

Both occupants were wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Additional information about Ibrahim’s medical condition following the crash was not provided in the initial report.<\/p>\n

Spicer Driver and New London Passenger Injured<\/h2>\n

Traci Lorayne Dengerud, 56, of Spicer, Minnesota, was driving the Lincoln Nautilus.<\/p>\n

She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare in Willmar.<\/p>\n

Her passenger, Patricia Ann Gislason, 73, of New London, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Gislason was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

Another passenger, Scott Marvin Dengerud, 57, of Spicer, was not injured.<\/p>\n

He was not transported to a hospital.<\/p>\n

All three Lincoln occupants were wearing seat belts.<\/p>\n

Alcohol Suspected in Highway 23 Crash<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol report lists alcohol as suspected for the Lincoln’s occupants, including its driver.<\/p>\n

However, the report does not establish that alcohol caused the collision.<\/p>\n

It also does not identify any arrests or criminal charges.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not listed as suspected for either person in the Hyundai.<\/p>\n
