CORNISH TOWNSHIP, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Two Gibbon residents were injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 15 in Sibley County.<\/p>\n

The collision occurred October 30, 2026, around 9:35 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 15 and County Road 25.<\/p>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, both injured people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to New Ulm Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 15<\/h2>\n

The crash involved a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup and a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol reported that both vehicles were traveling southbound on Highway 15 before the collision.<\/p>\n

The vehicles collided at the intersection with County Road 25 in Cornish Township.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were dry when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released a final determination of what caused the collision.<\/p>\n

16-Year-Old Pickup Driver Escapes Injury<\/h2>\n

The Ford F-150 was driven by a 16-year-old boy from Lafayette, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol did not release the juvenile driver’s name.<\/p>\n

He was not injured and was not transported to a medical facility.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported that the teenager was wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

Airbags also deployed in the Ford F-150.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected as a factor for either driver, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n
