Thief River Falls, MN<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a> \u2014 Aaron Glen Pervis died on January 1, 2026.<\/p>\n

He was 60.<\/p>\n

His family said he died peacefully at his home.<\/p>\n

His wife, Staci Pervis, was with him.<\/p>\n

Service plans<\/h2>\n

A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026.<\/p>\n

The service will be held at the Thief River Falls Seventh-day Adventist Church<\/a> on Tindolph Avenue.<\/p>\n

Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.<\/p>\n

Family said Aaron\u2019s final resting place is the Awaiting His Call Cemetery.<\/p>\n

They said the burial will be private on Sunday, January 4, 2026.<\/p>\n

The cemetery is near Nature\u2019s Retreat<\/a> in Cedar Township, rural Middle River.<\/p>\n

A public listing for the cemetery is posted online at Find a Grave<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Early life<\/h2>\n

Aaron was born February 5, 1965, in Waukegan, Illinois.<\/p>\n

He was the son of Melvin Pervis and Judith (Meekma) Pervis.<\/p>\n

Family said he spent part of his childhood in Bradenton, Florida.<\/p>\n

In 1974, the family moved to Middle River, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

He started school at Tindolph Seventh-day Adventist School, family said.<\/p>\n

He later attended the Middle River SDA School.<\/p>\n

He then attended Maplewood Academy<\/a> in Hutchinson, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Work and family<\/h2>\n

After high school, Aaron studied Non-Destructive Testing, family said.<\/p>\n

He attended Southeast Community College<\/a> in Beatrice, Nebraska.<\/p>\n

Family said he also became a master welder.<\/p>\n

After college, he worked for Landoll<\/a> in Nebraska, family said.<\/p>\n

They said he tested trailer structures for strength.<\/p>\n

Aaron married Lisa Chamberlain in 1982 in Lincoln, Nebraska.<\/p>\n

They had three children, family said.<\/p>\n

They are James Pervis, Lilly Miller, and Emily Gilginas.<\/p>\n

The family said Aaron later worked in drywall with relatives.<\/p>\n

They said he also worked in aerospace in St. Louis.<\/p>\n

In the early 1990s, he moved back to Middle River, the family said.<\/p>\n

He worked for Natural Way Mills<\/a> and promoted organic grains, they said.<\/p>\n

He also ran a drywall finishing business on the side.<\/p>\n

On December 22, 2018, Aaron married Staci Jenkins in Harrison, Arkansas.<\/p>\n

Family said he became a stepfather to Seth, Samuel, and Simon Carrizosa.<\/p>\n

Remembered for kindness<\/h2>\n

The family said Aaron loved biking and hiking.<\/p>\n

He enjoyed gardening and bird watching, they said.<\/p>\n

They said he could name birds by their songs.<\/p>\n

They also said he often gave to charities.<\/p>\n

They said he tried to help others when he could.<\/p>\n

Survivors<\/h2>\n

Aaron is survived by his wife, Staci Pervis.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his children and stepchildren, his family said.<\/p>\n

He is also survived by his mother, Judith Pervis.<\/p>\n

Survivors include siblings Melvin Pervis Jr., Jonathan (Angie) Pervis, and Wayne (Beth) Pervis.<\/p>\n

Survivors also include Amy (Russell) Bantin and extended family members.<\/p>\n

Preceded in death<\/h2>\n

Family said Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Pervis.<\/p>\n

They also listed several relatives who died earlier.<\/p>\n
