Fargo (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A Cass County case charges a Fargo woman with assaulting an officer during a bar disturbance.<\/p>\n

Court documents name the defendant as Elizabeth Marie Nance<\/strong>, of Fargo. She faces one count of felony simple assault on a peace officer.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth Marie Nance is charged in Cass County. She is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The complaint says the incident happened on November 27, 2025. It was reported just before 11 p.m. at the Bismarck Tavern on Broadway.<\/p>\n

Bar staff reported a disturbance involving two men. The argument was reportedly linked to Nance.<\/p>\n

Officers spoke with people at the scene to sort out what occurred. One officer then tried to talk with Nance about the dispute.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Nance did not cooperate with that contact. She allegedly punched the officer in the eye.<\/p>\n

Nance was arrested at the bar after the alleged punch. She was later booked into jail on the felony assault count.<\/p>\n

Felony simple assault on an officer can carry significant punishment. North Dakota law allows for prison time if there is a conviction.<\/p>\n

The case is moving through Cass County District Court. Public records, including hearing dates, can be viewed at\u00a0ndcourts.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At this time, the charge against Elizabeth Marie Nance remains only an allegation. She is presumed innocent unless a judge or jury decides otherwise.<\/p>\n
