Pennington County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Two people were hurt Thursday morning in a crash on Highway 1 in Reiner Township.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol said a minivan hit a sheriff\u2019s office squad that was blocking a lane.<\/p>\n

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 1 and 400th Avenue Northeast, the patrol said.<\/p>\n

A Pennington County sheriff\u2019s deputy was blocking the eastbound lane due to an earlier crash.<\/p>\n

A 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe squad was in the lane at the time, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Van collided with the squad<\/h2>\n

Amy Jean Johnson, 41, of Thief River Falls, was driving a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan.<\/p>\n

The patrol said she was traveling east on Highway 1.<\/p>\n

The report said the van collided with the squad near the Pennington and Beltrami county line.<\/p>\n

The highway was listed as snowy and icy at the time.<\/p>\n

Two people were taken to the hospital<\/h2>\n

Johnson suffered a non-life-threatening injury, the patrol said.<\/p>\n

A 32-year-old Pennington County sheriff\u2019s deputy also had a non-life-threatening injury.<\/p>\n

Both were taken to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls, the patrol said.<\/p>\n

Seat belt details<\/h2>\n

The report said Johnson was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol was dispatched at 10:06 a.m. Thursday, according to the report.<\/p>\n
