The incident began around 11:44 p.m. on September 20, 2026.<\/p>\n
An officer was patrolling South Main Street when a white pickup truck caught the officer’s attention.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, the pickup drifted toward the curb before correcting toward the opposite side.<\/p>\n
The officer also noticed problems with the vehicle’s rear lighting.<\/p>\n
Police reported that the driver slowed at a stop sign but failed to stop completely.<\/p>\n
The officer initiated a traffic stop near South Main Street and Fourth Avenue South.<\/p>\n
The driver was identified as Jison Adam Delong.<\/p>\n
Driver Allegedly Admits Drinking Ten Beers<\/h2>\n
During the stop, Delong reportedly told the officer he was coming from his boss’s home.<\/p>\n
When asked about his driving, Delong allegedly admitted consuming alcohol.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, he estimated drinking at least ten beers.<\/p>\n
The officer reported smelling alcohol and noticing slurred speech and glossy eyes.<\/p>\n
Delong also appeared to struggle with his balance while walking beside the pickup.<\/p>\n
The complaint states he repeatedly acknowledged being drunk during the investigation.<\/p>\n
Field Sobriety Tests Raise Concerns<\/h2>\n
The officer began conducting field sobriety tests to assess possible impairment.<\/p>\n
During an eye movement test, the officer reported observing six of six possible clues.<\/p>\n
Delong also reportedly struggled to maintain his balance while preparing for a walking test.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, he expressed concern that he might fall.<\/p>\n
The officer stopped further balance testing because of those safety concerns.<\/p>\n
A preliminary breath test then produced a reported alcohol concentration of 0.254.<\/p>\n
Police arrested Delong and transported him to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center.<\/p>\n
