Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A resident of a Bemidji group home has been charged with a felony after two incidents in late December.<\/p>\n

Dylan Reese Coder<\/strong>, of Bemidji, is charged with felony terroristic threats. The charge alleges reckless disregard.<\/p>\n

Scissors Threat Reported<\/h2>\n

According to court documents, the first call came on December 27 at about 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Police were sent to a Bemidji group home after staff reported a male making threats.<\/p>\n

The report said he was threatening himself and staff while holding a pair of scissors.<\/p>\n

Officers forced entry into Coder\u2019s bedroom, according to the filing.<\/p>\n

They found him lying on a bed with scissors in his hand.<\/p>\n

Police ordered him to drop the scissors, and he complied, the documents state.<\/p>\n

He was then taken to Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji<\/a> for an evaluation.<\/p>\n

Second Call the Next Day<\/h2>\n

The next day, police were called to the same group home again.<\/p>\n

Court documents say Coder had been released from the hospital earlier.<\/p>\n

Staff reported he was upset and acting out inside the home.<\/p>\n

He was angry about not getting help with a TV remote, the filing states.<\/p>\n

Documents say he threatened to punch holes in a wall.<\/p>\n

Police arrested Coder following that second response, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Coder is now facing a felony charge in connection with the reported threats.<\/p>\n

Minnesota law covers terroristic threats, including threats made with reckless disregard.<\/p>\n
