Marshall County dispatch received a report about a possible drunk driver around 2:42 p.m.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was reportedly traveling along Highway 1 near the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo school in Warren.<\/p>\n
Dispatch provided deputies with the vehicle’s license plate information.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, the vehicle was registered to Randy Anderson.<\/p>\n
Deputies checked driving records for two individuals reportedly known to operate Anderson’s vehicles.<\/p>\n
The records showed Boman had a restricted driver’s license requiring an ignition interlock device.<\/p>\n
Another deputy had already stopped the vehicle when additional law enforcement arrived.<\/p>\n
Boman was identified as the driver, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Deputies Find Scale During Traffic Stop<\/h2>\n
Court documents say Boman repeatedly reached underneath the driver’s seat while speaking with a deputy.<\/p>\n
The deputy warned him to stop reaching beneath the seat.<\/p>\n
When Boman continued, the deputy opened the driver’s door and removed him from the vehicle.<\/p>\n
A search beneath and around the driver’s seat found nothing.<\/p>\n
However, another deputy reportedly discovered a scale in Boman’s pants.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, residue on the scale produced a positive field test for methamphetamine.<\/p>\n
The field test was described in court documents, but no drug-related charge appears in this complaint.<\/p>\n
Boman Arrested Over License Restriction<\/h2>\n
Deputies arrested Boman for allegedly operating a vehicle without the required ignition interlock device.<\/p>\n
He was transported to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and booked into jail.<\/p>\n
After receiving a Miranda warning, Boman answered questions about the scale recovered during the stop.<\/p>\n
He told deputies he used the scale to weigh coins.<\/p>\n
Boman also said he did not know why the residue tested positive for drugs.<\/p>\n
Authorities later contacted Randy Anderson and told him where the vehicle could be picked up.<\/p>\n
