Investigator Learns of Active Warrant<\/h2>\n
A Pennington County sheriff’s investigator learned Hruby was allegedly out of compliance with registration rules.<\/p>\n
Investigators also learned he had an active felony arrest warrant from Kittson County.<\/p>\n
The warrant involved two alleged failures to register as a predatory offender.<\/p>\n
A Thief River Falls police investigator later located Hruby’s camper at Falls Stay N Play.<\/p>\n
Investigators confirmed that Hruby was living there, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement later obtained a search warrant for the camper.<\/p>\n
Hruby was arrested when officers executed the warrant.<\/p>\n
Complaint Says Registration Was Not Updated<\/h2>\n
Hruby allegedly told investigators he had been in Pennington County for about two weeks.<\/p>\n
He said he had left Kittson County because of family issues.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, Hruby acknowledged he had not updated his registration.<\/p>\n
He also allegedly said he had not notified authorities in Kittson County.<\/p>\n
The complaint states Hruby agreed that two weeks was too long to wait.<\/p>\n
He allegedly said updating his registration had remained in the back of his mind.<\/p>\n
Minnesota Law Requires Updated Registration<\/h2>\n
Minnesota law requires certain registered offenders to provide current address and residence information.<\/p>\n
Registration requirements can include prompt notice when a person’s primary or secondary address changes.<\/p>\n
Failure to comply can lead to criminal charges under state law.<\/p>\n
