Ada Man Charged in Roseau County Semi Theft<\/h2>\n

Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 An Ada man faces two felony charges after an alleged theft involving a semi, trailer, and grain.<\/p>\n

Ryan Tadd Grindahl, 41, is charged in Roseau County District Court.<\/p>\n

The case stems from an incident reported on September 18, 2026.<\/p>\n

Semi Reported Stolen<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, authorities responded to a rural Roseau County property.<\/p>\n

The call involved a report of a stolen semi and trailer.<\/p>\n

A man at the property told authorities he heard the truck operating in the yard.<\/p>\n

He went outside to investigate.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he found the semi jackknifed in the yard.<\/p>\n

Grindahl was allegedly sitting in the driver’s seat with the doors locked.<\/p>\n

The man was eventually able to open the truck’s door.<\/p>\n

Grindahl then allegedly ran north toward a gravel road, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Owner Says Permission Was Not Given<\/h2>\n

Authorities later spoke with the owner of the semi.<\/p>\n

The owner told investigators Grindahl did not have permission to drive the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The complaint places the semi’s estimated value at approximately $50,000.<\/p>\n

The trailer was also valued at about $50,000.<\/p>\n

Grain inside the trailer was valued at approximately $20,000.<\/p>\n

The combined estimated value was therefore about $120,000.<\/p>\n

Two Felony Theft Charges<\/h2>\n

Grindahl faces one count of felony theft involving movable property without the owner’s consent.<\/p>\n

The charge alleges he intended to permanently deprive the owner of the property.<\/p>\n

He also faces felony theft of a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n

That count alleges he took or drove the semi without the owner’s consent.<\/p>\n

Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a $20,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n

The charges are allegations. Grindahl is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
