Nicholas James Gerulli Jr., 49, is charged in Roseau County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charge alleges aggravated harassment involving a victim under 18 with sexual or aggressive intent.<\/p>\n

The felony carries up to 10 years in prison and a possible $20,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Police Called To Roseau Restaurant<\/h2>\n

The investigation began around 9:08 p.m. on September 20.<\/p>\n

Police were called to a Burger King in Roseau after reports involving an adult man and juveniles.<\/p>\n

According to the criminal complaint, a restaurant manager spoke with officers when they arrived.<\/p>\n

The manager reported that three juveniles said Gerulli had followed them into the restaurant.<\/p>\n

The children were ages 11, 10, and 10.<\/p>\n

They told police Gerulli approached them inside the restaurant and made sexual references through questions.<\/p>\n

The manager reportedly saw the interaction and told Gerulli to leave.<\/p>\n

Juveniles Report Earlier Encounters<\/h2>\n

One juvenile told investigators this was not the first time Gerulli had followed them.<\/p>\n

The juveniles had been traveling by bicycle and on foot.<\/p>\n

They provided officers with a description of Gerulli’s vehicle.<\/p>\n

The complaint says that description matched a vehicle registered to him.<\/p>\n

Second Report Made After Group Left<\/h2>\n

Police initially planned to contact Gerulli by phone.<\/p>\n

Before that happened, dispatch received another report involving the same juveniles.<\/p>\n

Two of the children said Gerulli drove past them after they left the restaurant.<\/p>\n

The encounter allegedly happened near Center Street and Main Avenue.<\/p>\n

The juveniles said Gerulli made a sexual hand gesture toward them.<\/p>\n

They also alleged he asked where they lived before driving away.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors allege Gerulli acted with intent to harass or intimidate the juveniles.<\/p>\n

The complaint further alleges the conduct involved sexual or aggressive intent.<\/p>\n

The charge is classified as a felony under Minnesota law.<\/p>\n

The allegations have not been proven in court.<\/p>\n

Gerulli is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/p>\n
