Minneapolis: 10 Indicted in Minnesota Voter Fraud Cases<\/h2>\n

Minneapolis (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A federal grand jury has indicted 10 people on voter fraud charges involving Minnesota elections.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced the indictments on September 30, 2026.<\/p>\n

Each defendant was separately indicted on September 24, according to federal prosecutors.<\/p>\n

The allegations involve elections held in 2022, 2024, and the August 2026 primary.<\/p>\n

Ten Defendants Face Federal Charges<\/h2>\n

Bhator Konah Bryant, 61, faces one count of falsely claiming U.S. citizenship to vote.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Bryant made the false claim while registering to vote in October 2024.<\/p>\n

Edvile Vaidoto Edmunds, 59, faces one count of voting by an alien.<\/p>\n

Federal prosecutors allege Edmunds voted in Minnesota during the November 2022 general election.<\/p>\n

Joshua Frederick Kofi Edzie, 63, faces three counts.<\/p>\n

They include two citizenship claim charges and one count of voting by an alien.<\/p>\n

Alan Barbu Kargbo, 48, faces one count under each of those federal laws.<\/p>\n

Paul Kras, 78, faces one count of voting by an alien.<\/p>\n

Fadil Rasim Ozegovic, 58, faces two charges connected to the November 2024 election.<\/p>\n

Aparecido Donizetti Padovan, 62, also faces two charges from the November 2024 election.<\/p>\n

Chris Adam Pettiquoi, 43, faces the same two federal charges.<\/p>\n

Christian Liam Schenk, 47, also faces one count under each federal law.<\/p>\n

Hester Sophia Weihmann, 69, faces the same two charges tied to November 2024.<\/p>\n

Federal Laws Carry Possible Prison Terms<\/h2>\n

Making a false citizenship claim to vote can carry up to five years in federal prison.<\/p>\n

The offense can also carry three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Voting by an alien is classified as a federal Class A misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

That offense carries up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Initial Court Appearances Completed<\/h2>\n

Nine defendants appeared before a federal magistrate judge in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Schenk made his initial appearance in the District of Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
