Bemidji Crash Injures Two on Highway 71<\/h2>\n

Bemidji, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Two people were injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 71.<\/p>\n

The collision happened around 10:25 a.m. near Fern Street Northwest in Bemidji.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol classified the crash as an injury incident.<\/p>\n

The road was wet when the vehicles collided.<\/p>\n

Jeep and Minivan Collide<\/h2>\n

Mark Daniel Haugen, 46, of Bemidji, was driving a 2001 Jeep Wrangler north on Highway 71.<\/p>\n

Tiffany Paige Haukaas, 32, of Redby, was driving a 2008 Chrysler minivan south on Highway 71.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol said Haukaas was turning east onto Fern Street Northwest.<\/p>\n

The Jeep and minivan then collided near the intersection.<\/p>\n

Haugen suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Sanford Hospital in Bemidji for treatment.<\/p>\n

Haukaas was not reported injured in the crash.<\/p>\n

Passenger Taken to Hospital<\/h2>\n

Alan David Matrious, 42, of Minneapolis, was riding in the Chrysler minivan.<\/p>\n

Matrious also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Sanford Hospital in Bemidji for treatment.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol said all three people were wearing seat belts.<\/p>\n

Neither vehicle had an airbag deployment listed in the crash report.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected for either driver.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Respond<\/h2>\n

Bemidji police, firefighters and ambulance crews assisted at the crash scene.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol handled the crash investigation.<\/p>\n

The report was listed as complete when updated Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
