Fosston Teen Killed in Rural Clay County Crash<\/h2>\n

Clay County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Authorities have identified two people involved in a fatal rural Clay County crash.<\/p>\n

Lindsey Rabon, 19, of Fosston, Minnesota, died at the scene, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Vicktor Robinson, 21, of Sisseton, South Dakota, was driving the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Robinson suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Crash Reported Early Friday<\/h2>\n

The crash happened around 1:41 a.m. Friday, September 25.<\/p>\n

It occurred in the 10000 block of 90th Avenue North in rural Clay County.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews were sent to the area after receiving an automatic crash notification from a cell phone.<\/p>\n

Deputies found a vehicle that had left the roadway when they arrived.<\/p>\n

The vehicle then struck a power pole, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Rabon was a passenger in the vehicle.<\/p>\n

She was pronounced dead at the crash scene.<\/p>\n

Robinson was transported for medical care after suffering life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Speed and Alcohol Being Investigated<\/h2>\n

Investigators said speed and alcohol appear to have contributed to the crash.<\/p>\n

Those findings are preliminary, and authorities have not announced a final cause.<\/p>\n

Officials also have not announced any criminal charges connected with the crash.<\/p>\n

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.<\/p>\n
