Hitterdal, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Cody Lee Jacobson faces two felony charges after an alleged police pursuit in Clay County.<\/p>\n

He also faces a gross misdemeanor obstruction charge.<\/p>\n

The case stems from an incident on September 18, 2026.<\/p>\n

The court complaint spells his surname Jacobson in the caption and Jacobsen in portions of the narrative.<\/p>\n

Deputy Reports Vehicle Reached 80 MPH<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, a Clay County deputy saw a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit.<\/p>\n

Radar showed the vehicle traveling 66 mph in a 55 mph zone.<\/p>\n

The deputy turned around and activated emergency lights.<\/p>\n

The vehicle continued west through Hitterdal without slowing, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The deputy then activated the patrol vehicle’s siren.<\/p>\n

The vehicle made several turns before heading south on Highway 32.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege the driver then accelerated to about 80 mph.<\/p>\n

The pursuit continued for roughly one mile.<\/p>\n

The vehicle then traveled through a ditch and into a residential driveway.<\/p>\n

The driver entered a residence despite commands to stop, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Arrest Leads to Additional Charges<\/h2>\n

The driver was identified as Cody Lee Jacobson.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he eventually came outside after initially refusing police commands.<\/p>\n

Additional officers arrived before authorities told Jacobson he was under arrest.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Jacobson became aggressive and physically resisted officers.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he pulled and moved his body while officers tried to restrain him.<\/p>\n

Two officers suffered minor scratches during the struggle.<\/p>\n

Another officer suffered a minor head injury after striking a vehicle.<\/p>\n

A third officer suffered a cut involving a broken coffee cup, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Authorities eventually placed Jacobson inside a patrol vehicle.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Search and Blood Samples<\/h2>\n

Police searched Jacobson’s vehicle after the arrest.<\/p>\n

The complaint reports finding packaged marijuana, a pipe, and rolled marijuana cigarettes.<\/p>\n

Officers also reported finding a prescription bottle containing 30-milligram Adderall pills.<\/p>\n

The three charges listed in this complaint do not include a separate drug charge.<\/p>\n

Jacobson was taken to Sanford Hospital for treatment after the arrest.<\/p>\n

A judge later approved a warrant for blood or urine samples.<\/p>\n

Two blood samples were collected and sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.<\/p>\n

The obstruction charge carries up to 364 days in jail and a $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n
