He also faces a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.<\/p>\n
The case stems from an incident reported September 23 in the school parking lot.<\/p>\n
School Staff Report Confrontation<\/h2>\n
According to the criminal complaint, the school principal witnessed Gourley confronting a woman outside the school.<\/p>\n
The principal reported seeing Gourley follow the woman toward her vehicle.<\/p>\n
Investigators later reviewed surveillance video from the school.<\/p>\n
The video allegedly showed Gourley blocking the driver’s door as the woman tried to enter.<\/p>\n
The woman forced the door open, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Gourley then allegedly pushed the door into her.<\/p>\n
The complaint says she became pinned between the door and vehicle frame.<\/p>\n
Another school employee also witnessed the incident.<\/p>\n
That employee gave investigators an account similar to the principal’s statement.<\/p>\n
School staff also reported hearing Gourley threaten to kill the woman.<\/p>\n
The principal ordered Gourley to leave school property.<\/p>\n
He complied and left the area.<\/p>\n
Woman Says She Feared for Her Safety<\/h2>\n
The woman later spoke with investigators about the confrontation.<\/p>\n
She said Gourley accused her of keeping his children from him.<\/p>\n
She also said he blamed her for ruining his life.<\/p>\n
The woman told investigators she feared for her safety.<\/p>\n
She said she understood Gourley’s statements as threats against her life.<\/p>\n
Drug Charge Filed After Arrest<\/h2>\n
Deputies located Gourley later that day at a Blackduck business.<\/p>\n
He was arrested on the domestic assault allegation.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, Gourley denied touching the woman.<\/p>\n
Authorities reported seeing him drop a small plastic bag while leaving the store.<\/p>\n
The bag contained a crystalline substance, according to investigators.<\/p>\n
A field test indicated the substance was methamphetamine.<\/p>\n
Gourley denied knowing about the substance.<\/p>\n
He also denied using methamphetamine in recent years.<\/p>\n
Gourley claimed the woman struck him with the vehicle door.<\/p>\n
He denied assaulting her.<\/p>\n
Gourley remains in custody while the case moves through court.<\/p>\n
