Thief River Falls Man Charged After Family Dispute<\/h2>\n

Thief River Falls<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Thief River Falls man faces felony and misdemeanor charges after an alleged dispute with his sister.<\/p>\n

Jose Dcosta Sabiniano, 63, has been charged with felony terroristic threats.<\/p>\n

He also faces a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.<\/p>\n

The case stems from an incident reported September 19.<\/p>\n

Sabiniano later went to the Law Enforcement Center and was arrested.<\/p>\n

Argument Reportedly Began During Drive<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, Sabiniano was traveling with two of his sisters.<\/p>\n

An argument began while the group was driving home.<\/p>\n

Sabiniano allegedly told one sister to get out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

He then pulled over along Center Street.<\/p>\n

The woman planned to get out but wanted to call someone for a ride.<\/p>\n

The other sister reportedly said the woman should not be left beside the road.<\/p>\n

The woman got back into the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The argument then continued as the group drove away.<\/p>\n

Complaint Alleges Punches and Threat<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Sabiniano punched the woman twice in her left arm.<\/p>\n

The other sister intervened and grabbed his arm.<\/p>\n

She also told him to stop, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Sabiniano allegedly remained angry during the drive.<\/p>\n

He then reportedly said he should shoot the woman.<\/p>\n

The woman told investigators she believed Sabiniano owned a firearm.<\/p>\n

She said she had not personally seen the weapon.<\/p>\n

She also described him as someone who could act rashly when angry.<\/p>\n

Witness Account Included in Complaint<\/h2>\n

The second sister reportedly witnessed part of the argument.<\/p>\n

The alleged victim later told Sabiniano she had a witness.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Sabiniano said he was unsure whether he made the shooting threat.<\/p>\n

He reportedly acknowledged that he may have said it.<\/p>\n

He also said the incident happened near Center Street.<\/p>\n

The charges are accusations.<\/p>\n

Sabiniano is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
