Thief River Falls Court Cases Include Assault, DWI<\/h2>\n

Thief River Falls<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Recent court cases include domestic assault, DWI, careless driving and several traffic violations.<\/p>\n

Jose Maximo Martinez, 30, was sentenced for domestic assault.<\/p>\n

Martinez was ordered to pay $260.<\/p>\n

He received a 364-day jail sentence that was stayed for two years and six days.<\/p>\n

He will serve two years of supervised probation.<\/p>\n

Martinez must complete a comprehensive assessment within 60 days.<\/p>\n

He must follow recommended treatment and aftercare.<\/p>\n

He was also ordered to complete a Domestic Abuse Batterers\u2019 Intervention Program at his own expense.<\/p>\n

Martinez must comply with a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order.<\/p>\n

He cannot possess firearms, ammunition or explosives while on probation.<\/p>\n

He must also provide a DNA sample.<\/p>\n

A felony domestic assault by strangulation charge was dismissed.<\/p>\n

Other Thief River Falls Police Cases<\/h2>\n

Tanya Marie Azatassou, 53, of Fargo, had two controlled substance charges dismissed.<\/p>\n

Gary Robert Holmgren, 46, of St. Hilaire, was fined $285 for owning an uninsured vehicle.<\/p>\n

Holmgren was also fined $50 for failing to yield at an uncontrolled intersection.<\/p>\n

Deborah Renae Mostrom, 71, of Thief River Falls, was fined $135 for failing to yield while turning left.<\/p>\n

Joshua Lee Fain, 45, of Thief River Falls, was sentenced for careless driving.<\/p>\n

Fain was fined $185 and received a 30-day jail sentence stayed for one year.<\/p>\n

Erik William Engelstad, 37, of Thief River Falls, was sentenced for disorderly conduct.<\/p>\n

Engelstad was fined $210 and received a 90-day jail sentence stayed for one year.<\/p>\n

DWI and State Patrol Cases<\/h2>\n

Sheldin Porter Sundberg, 21, of Grygla, was sentenced for third-degree DWI.<\/p>\n

Sundberg was fined $585 and received a 360-day jail sentence stayed for two years.<\/p>\n

He must use an ignition interlock system before driving.<\/p>\n

Several Minnesota State Patrol cases involved speeding violations.<\/p>\n

Nerlis Yobanis Espana Santos, Shelby Jane Looker and others received fines between $125 and $225.<\/p>\n

Cody Aloysius Thunder, 37, of Redby, received a stay of adjudication.<\/p>\n

His case involved driving after cancellation as inimical to public safety.<\/p>\n

Thunder must work toward reinstating his driver’s license.<\/p>\n

DNR Cases<\/h2>\n

Allen Harris Anderson, 38, of Thief River Falls, was sentenced for careless driving.<\/p>\n

He was fined $210 and received a 10-day jail sentence stayed for one year.<\/p>\n

Brian Tyler Fay, 39, of Thief River Falls, was fined $185 in an ATV case.<\/p>\n
