West Fargo<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2013 A Christmas night disturbance call in West Fargo turned into a vehicle pursuit and crash, according to an update from West Fargo Police.<\/p>\n

Police said officers were dispatched at 7:14 p.m. Thursday to the 2900 block of 7th Street West for a reported disturbance. A caller reported a male suspect assaulted them and then stole their vehicle, according to the police update.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Attempt and Pursuit<\/h3>\n

Police said officers located the suspect vehicle at about 7:40 p.m. in the area of the original call. Officers attempted a traffic stop, police said. The vehicle then fled, and a pursuit was started.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the pursuit began, police said the suspect vehicle crashed into a tree. The vehicle then struck a nearby residence near the intersection of Kensington Drive and Hidden Circle.<\/p>\n

Police said the home had minimal damage. No injuries inside the residence were reported in the police update.<\/p>\n

Suspect Identified and Charges Listed<\/h3>\n

Police identified the driver as Dennis Bone Jones, 35, of Boulder, Colorado. Police said Jones was charged with felony fleeing a peace officer and felony theft of a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n

Police also listed charges of driving under suspension, protection order violation, and domestic violence assault causing bodily injury.<\/p>\n

Jones was taken to a local hospital for injuries from the crash, police said. As of Friday morning, he remained hospitalized.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Impounded<\/h3>\n

Police said the suspect vehicle was impounded as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n

Charges are accusations. Jones is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
