Hay Creek Township Crash Seriously Injures Rider<\/h2>\n

Hay Creek Township (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Two people were injured Sunday in a motorcycle and car crash in Goodhue County.<\/p>\n

The crash happened at about 4:23 p.m. on September 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

It occurred at Minnesota Highway 58 and Hay Creek Trail.<\/p>\n

The collision involved a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Ford Fusion.<\/p>\n

Motorcycle and Car Collide on Highway 58<\/h2>\n

A 2011 Ford Fusion was traveling north on Highway 58 before the crash.<\/p>\n

A 2026 Harley-Davidson Road Glide was traveling south on the same highway.<\/p>\n

The two vehicles collided near Hay Creek Trail, according to the crash report.<\/p>\n

The road surface was dry when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n

The report did not provide more details about how the vehicles came together.<\/p>\n

Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries<\/h2>\n

Thomes Porames Eskeldson, 39, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, was riding the Harley-Davidson.<\/p>\n

Eskeldson suffered injuries described as life-threatening.<\/p>\n

He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.<\/p>\n

Eskeldson was wearing a helmet when the crash happened.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected in connection with the motorcycle rider.<\/p>\n

Ford Driver Also Injured<\/h2>\n

Trenton Jason Matthies, 25, of Randolph, was driving the Ford Fusion.<\/p>\n

Matthies suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing for medical care.<\/p>\n

Matthies was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

The Ford’s airbags deployed during the crash.<\/p>\n

The report listed alcohol as suspected for the Ford driver.<\/p>\n

The report did not state whether alcohol contributed to the collision.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Respond<\/h2>\n

Several emergency agencies responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

They included Goodhue County authorities, Red Wing Fire and Ambulance, and Goodhue Fire.<\/p>\n
