Mentor Shooting Sends Man to Hospital, One in Custody<\/h2>\n

Mentor<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A shooting early Sunday left one man injured and another man in custody near Mentor.<\/p>\n

Shooting Reported Early Sunday<\/h2>\n

The Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office received the report at about 2:48 a.m. on Sunday, September 20.<\/p>\n

Deputies were sent to 32300 110th Avenue Southeast, west of Mentor.<\/p>\n

Emergency dispatch information described a gunshot wound victim at the scene.<\/p>\n

The victim\u2019s condition was not immediately known when emergency crews were sent.<\/p>\n

The Sheriff\u2019s Office later identified the injured man as Shawn Alan Qualley, 55.<\/p>\n

Qualley was taken by ambulance to Altru Health System<\/a> in Grand Forks for treatment.<\/p>\n

The initial release did not provide more information about Qualley\u2019s injuries or condition.<\/p>\n

79-Year-Old Man Taken Into Custody<\/h2>\n

The Sheriff\u2019s Office identified the other man as Leslie Manford Anderson, 79.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Anderson was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n

He was transported to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center<\/a> in Crookston.<\/p>\n

The initial release did not list any criminal charges against Anderson.<\/p>\n
