Mentor Shooting Sends Man to Hospital, Suspect Jailed<\/h2>\n

The incident was reported at about 2:48 a.m. on Sunday, September 20.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened at 32300 110th Avenue Southeast in Mentor.<\/p>\n

Polk County deputies responded after receiving a report of a shooting at the property.<\/p>\n

Victim Taken To Grand Forks Hospital<\/h2>\n

Deputies arrived and found a male victim who had suffered injuries.<\/p>\n

Authorities identified the injured man as 55-year-old Shawn Alan Qualley.<\/p>\n

Qualley was taken by ambulance to Grand Forks for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

He was transported to Altru Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officials did not release details about the nature or severity of Qualley’s injuries.<\/p>\n

No updated information about his medical condition was immediately released.<\/p>\n

79-Year-Old Suspect Taken Into Custody<\/h2>\n

Authorities identified the suspect as 79-year-old Leslie Manford Anderson.<\/p>\n

Anderson was taken into custody without incident, according to the sheriff’s office.<\/p>\n

He was transported to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston.<\/p>\n
