Driver Cited Near Red Lake Falls<\/h2>\n
On September 11, deputies stopped Lynn Ray Beadles, 77, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.<\/p>\n
The stop happened on Highway 32 south of Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n
Beadles was cited for misdemeanor expired vehicle registration.<\/p>\n
He was also cited for having no proof of current vehicle insurance.<\/p>\n
Search Warrant and Drug Arrest<\/h2>\n
On September 12, Red Lake County officers assisted the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
Authorities helped execute a search warrant in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n
Polk County authorities are handling that ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
Later that day, a deputy stopped a vehicle on 270th Street Southeast.<\/p>\n
The stop occurred in Poplar River Township for an equipment violation.<\/p>\n
Authorities identified the driver as Renee Cecilia Peralta, 47, of Erskine.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Peralta showed signs of impairment from suspected illegal controlled substances.<\/p>\n
A vehicle search also found suspected methamphetamine residue, according to the sheriff\u2019s report.<\/p>\n
Peralta was arrested and taken to jail in Crookston.<\/p>\n
She was booked on suspected felony drug possession and gross misdemeanor DUI charges.<\/p>\n
Peralta appeared in court on September 14.<\/p>\n
She posted $1,500 cash bail and was released with court-ordered conditions.<\/p>\n
Her next court appearance was scheduled for September 25 in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n
Other Calls Across Red Lake County<\/h2>\n
On September 14, officers assisted Red Lake County Social Services with a child protection investigation.<\/p>\n
That case remained under investigation.<\/p>\n
On September 15, deputies responded to a loose dog near the Plummer School.<\/p>\n
A deputy spoke with the owner about keeping the dog on the owner\u2019s property.<\/p>\n
On September 16, deputies responded to a trespassing report in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n
Deputies spoke with everyone involved and helped resolve the situation.<\/p>\n
Crookston Man Arrested on DWI Allegation<\/h2>\n
Later September 16, authorities received a report of a driver sleeping behind the wheel.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was reportedly running and blocking Hamilton Avenue in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n
A deputy woke the driver and began an investigation.<\/p>\n
Authorities identified the driver as Chad Alan Ringstad, 45, of Crookston.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Ringstad appeared intoxicated.<\/p>\n
He was arrested and booked for gross misdemeanor DWI test refusal.<\/p>\n
Ringstad appeared in court on September 17.<\/p>\n
He remained in custody when the sheriff\u2019s report was released.<\/p>\n
Also on September 17, a Plummer resident reported property stolen from a home.<\/p>\n
That theft remained under investigation.<\/p>\n
