The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash at 7:27 a.m. on December 22, 2025. The road was covered with snow and ice. Weather conditions were reported as dry.<\/p>\n

How the crash happened<\/h2>\n

Troopers say a Freightliner semi was traveling north on Highway 59. An International straight truck was traveling south on Highway 59. The two vehicles collided in Mason Township.<\/p>\n

The report did not list a cause. The crash is listed as a fatal crash. Authorities said one occupant was unbelted or unrestrained.<\/p>\n

Drivers identified<\/h2>\n

The semi driver was identified as Dennis Keith Kor, 58, of Minneota, Minnesota. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt. Airbags did not deploy. Alcohol was not involved, according to the report.<\/p>\n

The straight truck driver was identified as Michael Arthur Griffin, 61, of Tyler, Minnesota. Troopers said Griffin had life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Sanford in Sioux Falls for treatment. Troopers said he was wearing a seat belt. Airbags did not deploy. Alcohol was not involved.<\/p>\n

Agencies that responded<\/h2>\n

The Murray County Sheriff\u2019s Office assisted at the scene. Slayton Fire also responded. Murray County Ambulance and Currie first responders were called in.<\/p>\n
