Walker Teen’s Death Ruled Homicide Near Cass Lake<\/h2>\n

Cass Lake, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A 17-year-old Walker boy died from a gunshot wound in rural Cass Lake.<\/p>\n

Authorities have ruled the teenager’s death a homicide.<\/p>\n

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said an autopsy confirmed the cause and manner of death.<\/p>\n

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office completed the autopsy.<\/p>\n

The teenager’s name has not been released by authorities.<\/p>\n

Homicide Investigation Continues<\/h2>\n

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office<\/a> said the investigation remains active.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been announced in connection with the teenager’s death.<\/p>\n

Investigators are working with several law enforcement agencies on the case.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension<\/a> is assisting with the investigation.<\/p>\n

The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department<\/a> is also assisting.<\/p>\n

The Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force is also involved in the investigation.<\/p>\n

Teen Found Outside Rural Cass Lake Home<\/h2>\n

The case began Sunday, September 13, at about 7:57 a.m.<\/p>\n

Deputies received an ambulance request from Leech Lake Tribal Police.<\/p>\n

The call involved a person who was possibly dead near John Moose Drive Northwest.<\/p>\n

The location is in Pike Bay Township, near rural Cass Lake.<\/p>\n

Medical crews and law enforcement officers responded to the property.<\/p>\n

They found a male dead in the yard of a residence.<\/p>\n

Authorities later identified the person as a 17-year-old boy from Walker.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol also helped with the initial investigation.<\/p>\n

Authorities Ask Public for Information<\/h2>\n

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward.<\/p>\n
