Fight Reported Inside Apartment<\/h2>\n
Police responded to an apartment building on 8th Avenue Northwest around 1:25 a.m.<\/p>\n
The alleged victim, identified as S.M.M., was found injured in a hallway.<\/p>\n
The complaint says S.M.M. had a bleeding head wound and several facial injuries.<\/p>\n
Emergency workers determined that his head injury needed stitches.<\/p>\n
He was taken to Altru Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
S.M.M. told investigators he had been staying with Munier Abdiaziz Abokar.<\/p>\n
He alleged Abokar punched him twice during an argument.<\/p>\n
S.M.M. said he then struck Abokar in return.<\/p>\n
The complaint says Abokar left the apartment and later returned with Mohamed Abdirisak Sugule.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors allege Abokar encouraged Sugule to assault S.M.M.<\/p>\n
S.M.M. alleged Sugule then struck him several times with a black 9mm pistol.<\/p>\n
Abokar Gives Different Account<\/h2>\n
Police arrested Abokar later that day after he left the apartment building.<\/p>\n
Abokar gave investigators a different account of what happened.<\/p>\n
He said S.M.M. had punched him several times.<\/p>\n
Abokar said he asked S.M.M. to leave, but S.M.M. refused.<\/p>\n
He said he then went to get Sugule.<\/p>\n
Abokar acknowledged that Sugule returned with a gun.<\/p>\n
However, Abokar denied that Sugule displayed the weapon or assaulted S.M.M.<\/p>\n
Investigators reported seeing several injuries on Abokar after his arrest.<\/p>\n
Police Search Apartments<\/h2>\n
Authorities later searched two apartments connected to the case.<\/p>\n
They reported finding blood in several areas of one apartment.<\/p>\n
A 9mm cartridge was found on a kitchen counter.<\/p>\n
Another matching cartridge was found outside the building.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video also became part of the investigation.<\/p>\n
The complaint says video showed Sugule walking in a hallway while holding a gun.<\/p>\n
S.M.M. later told police that a doctor said his cheek was broken.<\/p>\n
Three Felony Counts Filed<\/h2>\n
