A Clay County District Court complaint lists one gross misdemeanor and one misdemeanor charge.<\/p>\n
The case stems from an incident reported on November 24, 2023.<\/p>\n
The complaint was filed in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District.<\/p>\n
The court case number is 14-CR-26-2340.<\/p>\n
Shots Reported Near Glyndon<\/h2>\n
According to the complaint, deputies responded to a shots-fired report around 8:51 p.m.<\/p>\n
The caller reported hearing several gunshots near 120th Street South.<\/p>\n
The caller also reported seeing a vehicle driving around the area.<\/p>\n
Authorities later located a pickup truck believed connected to the call.<\/p>\n
Michael Lloyd Slette was identified as the driver, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Ryan Rahr and Logan Tucker were also identified as passengers.<\/p>\n
The men allegedly told authorities that uncased firearms were inside the pickup.<\/p>\n
Rahr allegedly said the group had stopped along the road to shoot at a jackrabbit.<\/p>\n
He said the group used a .22-caliber rifle, according to the court filing.<\/p>\n
Slette Allegedly Admitted Shooting<\/h2>\n
Slette allegedly told authorities that he fired a .22 rifle at the jackrabbit.<\/p>\n
He also allegedly said the rifle belonged to him.<\/p>\n
The complaint says three additional long guns were found inside the pickup.<\/p>\n
Slette allegedly claimed ownership of those firearms as well.<\/p>\n
Authorities reported finding several types of ammunition inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Spent .22-caliber casings were also found, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
The filing says some casings appeared consistent with shots being fired from inside the truck.<\/p>\n
Alcohol Found Inside Vehicle<\/h2>\n
Authorities also reported finding several opened alcoholic beverage containers.<\/p>\n
The complaint lists opened Twisted Tea cans and a partially empty Michelob Ultra can.<\/p>\n
A partially empty bottle of liqueur was also allegedly found inside.<\/p>\n
Slette allegedly told authorities that he had consumed a couple of beers.<\/p>\n
