Grand Forks Man Accused of Death Threat, Ambush Plan<\/h2>\n

Grand Forks, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Grand Forks man faces a felony charge following an alleged series of death threats.<\/p>\n

Scott A. McGreevy, 60, is accused of threatening another man through text messages.<\/p>\n

The allegations are detailed in a police affidavit filed in Grand Forks County District Court.<\/p>\n

Police were called at about 11:46 a.m. on September 13.<\/p>\n

The call involved a report of alleged menacing and terrorizing.<\/p>\n

Victim Reports Threatening Messages<\/h2>\n

The alleged victim told police that McGreevy had sent several threatening text messages.<\/p>\n

The man said the messages caused him to fear for his safety.<\/p>\n

According to the affidavit, one message referred to ammunition with the victim’s name on it.<\/p>\n

Another message said McGreevy knew where the man worked and when he returned home.<\/p>\n

The victim provided police with screenshots of the messages, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Police Contact McGreevy<\/h2>\n

Police later contacted McGreevy at his home on 27th Avenue South.<\/p>\n

Officers advised McGreevy of his Miranda rights before speaking with him.<\/p>\n

The affidavit says McGreevy then made additional threats against the alleged victim.<\/p>\n

He allegedly told police he would kill the man.<\/p>\n

The filing says McGreevy also threatened to shoot the man in the head.<\/p>\n

Police say McGreevy acknowledged sending the text messages.<\/p>\n

Investigators also allege he described a plan to ambush the victim.<\/p>\n

The affidavit does not indicate that the alleged plan was carried out.<\/p>\n

Felony Terrorizing Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

McGreevy was arrested on a felony charge of terrorizing an adult victim.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Grand Forks County District Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n

North Dakota court records can also be searched through the state’s public court access system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The charge against McGreevy is an accusation and has not established guilt.<\/p>\n
