Pepin Township Crash Leaves 19-Year-Old Seriously Hurt<\/h2>\n

Pepin Township (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Two drivers were injured Tuesday morning in a crash on Highway 61.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 8:44 a.m. on September 15, 2026.<\/p>\n

It occurred near mile marker 67 in Pepin Township, Wabasha County.<\/p>\n

A 2006 Buick Lucerne was traveling south on Highway 61.<\/p>\n

A 2020 GMC Sierra was traveling north on the highway.<\/p>\n

The two vehicles then collided, according to the crash report.<\/p>\n

Big Lake Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries<\/h2>\n

Ellaina Renea Johnson, 19, of Big Lake, was driving the Buick Lucerne.<\/p>\n

Johnson suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision.<\/p>\n

She was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

The Buick’s airbags deployed during the crash.<\/p>\n

Johnson was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected in connection with her vehicle.<\/p>\n

Wabasha Driver Also Injured<\/h2>\n

Neil Patrick Rude, 41, of Wabasha, was driving the GMC Sierra.<\/p>\n

Rude suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Wabasha Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

The GMC’s airbags also deployed during the collision.<\/p>\n

Rude was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected in connection with his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Respond<\/h2>\n

The crash report listed the road condition as “other.”<\/p>\n

No additional details about the road condition were provided.<\/p>\n

Wabasha County deputies assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n
