He reported moving from South Carolina to a residence in Karlstad.<\/p>\n
Woods listed no aliases and reported no vehicles owned or regularly used, the complaint states.<\/p>\n
He also provided identifying information and listed an emergency contact.<\/p>\n
The complaint says Woods is subject to lifetime registration requirements.<\/p>\n
That requirement stems from a Texas conviction involving a sexual offense.<\/p>\n
Court records cited in the complaint say Woods had previously registered in Texas.<\/p>\n
Investigators Find Aikens Alias<\/h2>\n
Investigators later discovered records linking Woods to the name Edward Charles Aikens.<\/p>\n
The complaint says law enforcement databases listed Aikens as an alias for Woods.<\/p>\n
Investigators also found multiple identification records connected to the two names.<\/p>\n
When questioned, Woods initially denied having aliases, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
He allegedly said Edward Aikens was a cousin.<\/p>\n
Investigators later reviewed property, driver’s license, and vehicle information connected to the Aikens name.<\/p>\n
The complaint says those records raised questions about Woods’ registration information.<\/p>\n
Traffic Contact Leads To Admission<\/h2>\n
On July 17, an investigator saw a vehicle registered under the Aikens name arrive at Woods’ Karlstad address.<\/p>\n
Woods later presented a South Carolina driver’s license bearing the name Edward Charles Aikens.<\/p>\n
Investigators confronted him about the different identity, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Woods then allegedly admitted that Edward Aikens was an alias.<\/p>\n
He also acknowledged that both names referred to him, the complaint states.<\/p>\n
Woods allegedly explained that Aikens was his birth name before an adoption changed his legal surname.<\/p>\n
He said he continued using Aikens for many personal transactions.<\/p>\n
The complaint says Woods admitted the supposed cousin did not exist.<\/p>\n
Two Felony Counts Filed<\/h2>\n
Prosecutors allege Woods failed to properly disclose aliases and vehicle information.<\/p>\n
They also allege he intentionally gave false information to law enforcement.<\/p>\n
