Sabin Crash Kills 78-Year-Old Dennis Lass<\/h2>\n

Sabin (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A 78-year-old Sabin man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Clay County.<\/p>\n

The Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office identified the man as Dennis Lass of Sabin.<\/p>\n

The crash happened Friday, September 11, north of Sabin.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews were called shortly before 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

The collision happened at 70th Street South and 50th Avenue South.<\/p>\n

Investigators Say Driver Missed Stop Sign<\/h2>\n

Authorities identified the other driver as 39-year-old Kyle Schlicht of West Fargo.<\/p>\n

Investigators say Schlicht failed to stop at a stop sign before the vehicles collided.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not announced any charges related to the crash.<\/p>\n

The investigation remains active.<\/p>\n

Driver Thrown From Vehicle<\/h2>\n

First responders found one driver thrown from his vehicle after the crash.<\/p>\n

He landed in a ditch near the intersection.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews immediately began lifesaving efforts.<\/p>\n

Despite those efforts, Lass died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

Schlicht was conscious and speaking with first responders after the collision.<\/p>\n

A Sanford ambulance transported him to an area hospital.<\/p>\n

Officials have not released details about the extent of his injuries.<\/p>\n

Crash Remains Under Investigation<\/h2>\n

Authorities initially withheld the drivers\u2019 names while relatives were notified.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office later confirmed Lass was the person who died.<\/p>\n

Investigators continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.<\/p>\n
