Rice Man Killed in Highway 23 Crash<\/h2>\n

Rice (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A 30-year-old Rice man died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Benton County.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 8:14 p.m. September 10 on westbound Highway 23.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash occurred near mile marker 214.<\/p>\n

The man’s name was not included in the initial public crash report.<\/p>\n

Jeep Leaves Highway 23<\/h2>\n

According to the State Patrol, the man was driving a 2007 Jeep Commander west on Highway 23.<\/p>\n

The Jeep left the roadway before striking a tree and a power box.<\/p>\n

The driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash.<\/p>\n

No other vehicles were listed as being involved.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol reported that alcohol was not suspected.<\/p>\n

The driver’s seat belt use was listed as unknown.<\/p>\n

Airbag deployment was also listed as unknown in the crash report.<\/p>\n

The road was dry when the crash happened.<\/p>\n
