Two Harbors Motorcycle Crash Kills Bruno Man<\/h2>\n

Two Harbors (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Bruno man died Saturday after a major motorcycle crash on Highway 61 near Two Harbors.<\/p>\n

Alexander Wayne Otis, 31, was killed in the September 12 crash.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 12:27 p.m. near milepost 31 in Silver Creek Township.<\/p>\n

The location is near the Silver Creek Tunnel in Lake County.<\/p>\n

Multiple Motorcycles Crash After Tunnel<\/h2>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a group of motorcycles was traveling north on Highway 61.<\/p>\n

Several motorcycles crashed after the group exited the Silver Creek Tunnel.<\/p>\n

During the crash, multiple motorcycles entered the southbound lane.<\/p>\n

They then collided with a vehicle traveling south, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported multiple injuries along with one death.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol identified Otis as the rider who suffered fatal injuries.<\/p>\n

He was riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.<\/p>\n

His helmet use was listed as unknown.<\/p>\n

Investigators also listed possible alcohol involvement as unknown for Otis.<\/p>\n

The road was dry when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

Two Minneapolis Women Escape Injury<\/h2>\n

A 2017 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling south when motorcycles entered its lane.<\/p>\n

Kristin Ingeborg Faruq, 72, of Minneapolis was driving the Jetta.<\/p>\n

She was not injured in the crash.<\/p>\n

Leah Huseby-Frieger, 81, of Minneapolis was a passenger in the vehicle.<\/p>\n

She also escaped without injury.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol reported no suspected alcohol involvement for either woman.<\/p>\n

The public crash report listed Otis’s motorcycle and the Volkswagen among the involved vehicles.<\/p>\n

Several Agencies Respond<\/h2>\n

Emergency crews from across Lake County responded to the crash.<\/p>\n

They included ambulance, rescue, fire, sheriff and police agencies.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Department of Transportation personnel also responded.<\/p>\n

Mayo Ambulance and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n

Highway 61 is a major route along Minnesota’s North Shore.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol listed its crash information as complete Saturday evening.<\/p>\n
