Pennington County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A St. Hilaire man faces several charges after a late-night traffic stop in the Thief River Falls area.<\/p>\n

Charges listed in the complaint<\/h2>\n

Jeremiah Charles Hasnedl<\/strong>, 46, of St. Hilaire, is charged in Pennington County.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists third-degree refusal to submit to a breath test.<\/p>\n

It also lists gross misdemeanor, fifth-degree controlled substance possession.<\/p>\n

He is also charged with misdemeanor legend drug possession.<\/p>\n

Another charge is a misdemeanor open package of cannabis.<\/p>\n

Hasnedl was arrested, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The stop happened on Dec. 16 at about 12 a.m.<\/p>\n

It occurred near Pennington Avenue and Hickory Road, court records say.<\/p>\n

An officer reported signs of impairment while speaking with Hasnedl.<\/p>\n

Hasnedl declined a preliminary breath test, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

He denied drinking alcohol, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

He also denied that medicines affected his driving.<\/p>\n

Search and items found<\/h2>\n

After Hasnedl was handcuffed, he was searched, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The officer reported finding a pill container on him.<\/p>\n

The container allegedly held one amphetamine-dextroamphetamine pill.<\/p>\n

The complaint describes that pill as a Schedule II controlled substance.<\/p>\n

The container also allegedly held seven cyclobenzaprine pills.<\/p>\n

The complaint calls cyclobenzaprine a prescription-only drug.<\/p>\n

Police also reported marijuana wax found in a squad vehicle.<\/p>\n

Breath testing details<\/h2>\n

When fastening a seat belt, the officer reported smelling alcohol.<\/p>\n

A DMT breath test later showed 0.185 blood alcohol content, records say.<\/p>\n

A second sample first showed 0.13, then later became invalid.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists mouth alcohol and sample delivery issues.<\/p>\n

A sergeant then offered another DMT test, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The next test again showed an invalid sample, according to records.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Hasnedl could blow into the mouthpiece when shown.<\/p>\n

The sergeant believed Hasnedl blocked the machine, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

That belief led to the refusal charge, according to court records.<\/p>\n
