Thief River Falls<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Thief River Falls man is facing two charges after a report at ParkWest Apartments.<\/p>\n

Charges filed<\/h2>\n

Kendarius Jamarcus Dailey, 26, is charged in connection with the Dec. 17 call.<\/p>\n

He is charged with gross misdemeanor interference with an emergency call.<\/p>\n

He is also charged with misdemeanor domestic assault.<\/p>\n

Court files describe the accusations. Dailey is presumed innocent in court.<\/p>\n

What the complaint alleges<\/h2>\n

Police were called at about 2:49 p.m. on Dec. 17.<\/p>\n

The report came from ParkWest Apartments at 1305 First St. W.<\/p>\n

A woman told police she had to break into her unit.<\/p>\n

She carried a window screen when officers arrived.<\/p>\n

She said Dailey had her car, phone, and apartment keys.<\/p>\n

She said the two were breaking up that day.<\/p>\n

She said she let him gather his things.<\/p>\n

She said an argument started inside the apartment.<\/p>\n

She told police he pushed her from a chair.<\/p>\n

She said he pinned her to the floor.<\/p>\n

She said he choked her until she could not breathe.<\/p>\n

She estimated it lasted one to two minutes.<\/p>\n

She said she then warned that she would call the police.<\/p>\n

She said Dailey left with her phone, keys, and car.<\/p>\n

911 call and arrest<\/h2>\n

The woman said she used a stranger\u2019s phone to call 911.<\/p>\n

Police said Dailey later called 911 himself.<\/p>\n

He asked if he should bring the car back.<\/p>\n

Police said he was arrested after he returned to the address.<\/p>\n

Photos and evidence noted<\/h2>\n

An officer photographed a tipped chair and the areas described.<\/p>\n

The officer also photographed the woman\u2019s neck, the complaint said.<\/p>\n

Records said there were no clear marks on her neck.<\/p>\n
