Thief River Falls Woman Charged After 0.19 DWI Test<\/h2>\n

Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Red Lake Falls woman faces a DWI charge after a Sept. 1 traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Breanna Marie Gustafson, 25, was charged with third-degree driving while impaired.<\/p>\n

The charge involves an alleged alcohol concentration of 0.16 or higher.<\/p>\n

Gustafson was arrested following the traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Driver Reported Swerving on Highway 32<\/h2>\n

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a motorist on Highway 32.<\/p>\n

An off-duty Thief River Falls police officer reported that the vehicle was allegedly driving erratically.<\/p>\n

The officer described the vehicle as traveling \u201call over the road,\u201d according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Authorities later stopped the vehicle after Gustafson turned onto First Street.<\/p>\n

The Highway 32 and First Street intersection is located in Thief River Falls.<\/p>\n

When questioned, Gustafson allegedly said she did not remember swerving.<\/p>\n

She also allegedly denied that she had been driving on Highway 32.<\/p>\n

Police Report Signs of Alcohol Use<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, Gustafson had bloodshot and watery eyes.<\/p>\n

She allegedly told authorities she had consumed about two shots earlier that afternoon.<\/p>\n

Gustafson said the drinks were consumed between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Authorities then conducted field sobriety tests.<\/p>\n

The complaint states Gustafson failed those tests.<\/p>\n

She also provided a preliminary breath sample.<\/p>\n

That test produced a reported alcohol concentration of 0.17.<\/p>\n

Later Breath Test Reported at 0.19<\/h2>\n

Gustafson was taken to the Law Enforcement Center after her arrest.<\/p>\n
