Man Found With Gunshot Wound<\/h2>\n
The shooting was reported shortly before 8 p.m. Sept. 1 in south Moorhead.<\/p>\n
Police responded to an apartment building in the 500 block of 30th Avenue South.<\/p>\n
Officers found an adult man outside with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.<\/p>\n
The man was conscious when officers arrived, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
He was taken to a local hospital with a serious injury.<\/p>\n
Police later said his condition was stable.<\/p>\n
More information is available through the Moorhead Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n A woman at the apartment identified Garbow as her boyfriend, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n She told investigators Garbow had assaulted her shortly before the shooting.<\/p>\n Police reported seeing injuries on the woman’s face.<\/p>\n The complaint says a verbal dispute then developed between Garbow and the shooting victim.<\/p>\n The confrontation became physical inside the apartment, according to investigators.<\/p>\n The woman reported hearing what she believed was a gunshot.<\/p>\n She then heard the victim say he had been shot.<\/p>\n The victim later told investigators he did not know the man who shot him.<\/p>\n He said he intervened during an altercation involving a woman.<\/p>\n The victim said the other man reached toward a pocket during their confrontation.<\/p>\n He believed the man could be reaching for a knife, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n The victim swung toward the man’s hand before being shot once in the stomach.<\/p>\n Investigators later executed a search warrant at the apartment.<\/p>\n Police recovered a shell casing from inside the residence, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n A vehicle believed to belong to Garbow was found in Fargo early Sept. 2.<\/p>\n Garbow was not with the vehicle.<\/p>\n Investigators believed he may have traveled into North Dakota.<\/p>\n Court records also list a 2016 gross misdemeanor domestic assault conviction for Garbow.<\/p>\n A judge signed an arrest warrant for Garbow on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n Police have advised the public not to approach Garbow.<\/p>\n Authorities said he should be considered potentially armed.<\/p>\n Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.<\/p>\n Information about his whereabouts can also be reported at (701) 451-7660<\/a>.<\/p>\n Public case information can be searched through Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n The charges are allegations.
