Lake Lillian Tube Crash Seriously Injures Two<\/h2>\n

Lake Lillian (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Two juveniles suffered serious injuries Sunday evening during a tubing crash on Big Kandiyohi Lake.<\/p>\n

The crash happened at about 6:34 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6.<\/p>\n

It occurred in the 6600 block of 126th Avenue Southeast in Fahlun Township.<\/p>\n

The Kandiyohi County<\/a> Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to the crash.<\/p>\n

Tube Strikes Unoccupied Boat<\/h2>\n

Investigators said a pontoon was pulling a tube carrying four juveniles across the lake.<\/p>\n

The tube then collided with an unoccupied boat, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Two riders suffered serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.<\/p>\n

The other two juveniles were not injured in the collision.<\/p>\n

Officials said all four riders were wearing life jackets when the crash happened.<\/p>\n

The names and ages of the juveniles were not released.<\/p>\n

Officials also did not release further information about the injured riders\u2019 conditions.<\/p>\n

Two Juveniles Taken To Hospital<\/h2>\n

Emergency crews treated the injured riders at the scene before transporting them by ambulance.<\/p>\n

Both injured juveniles were taken to a CentraCare facility in Willmar<\/a> for treatment.<\/p>\n

The Blomkest Fire Department assisted at the crash scene.<\/p>\n

The Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad also responded to help with the emergency operation.<\/p>\n

Lake Lillian Ambulance and CentraCare Ambulance provided medical assistance and transportation.<\/p>\n

Crash Remains Under Investigation<\/h2>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office did not release information about the pontoon operator.<\/p>\n

Authorities also did not say how fast the pontoon was traveling before the collision.<\/p>\n

The unoccupied boat was on the lake when the tube struck it, investigators said.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported among the other two riders on the tube.<\/p>\n

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff\u2019s Office continues to investigate the crash.<\/p>\n

Additional information could be released as investigators review the circumstances surrounding the collision.<\/p>\n
