Glyndon: Tucker Faces Gun Charge in Rabbit Shooting<\/h2>\n

GLYNDON, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Logan Jerome Tucker faces firearm and open-bottle charges tied to a Clay County incident.<\/p>\n

Tucker, 24, is charged in Clay County District Court file 14-CR-26-2342.<\/p>\n

The complaint was filed by summons.<\/p>\n

The alleged incident happened near Glyndon.<\/p>\n

Shots Reported on Rural Roads<\/h2>\n

The complaint says a caller reported hearing gunshots near 120th Street South.<\/p>\n

The caller also reported seeing a vehicle traveling through the area.<\/p>\n

Police later located a pickup that was the only vehicle nearby.<\/p>\n

The truck stopped at a residence in Glyndon, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Tucker and two other men got out of the pickup.<\/p>\n

The men told police there were uncased firearms inside the truck.<\/p>\n

One passenger allegedly said the group had stopped to shoot at a jackrabbit.<\/p>\n

Tucker later admitted shooting at the animal with a .22 rifle, prosecutors allege.<\/p>\n

He also allegedly said he hit the jackrabbit.<\/p>\n

No police officer names are included in this report.<\/p>\n

Firearms and Ammunition Found<\/h2>\n

Investigators searched the pickup after speaking with the occupants.<\/p>\n

The complaint says several firearms were found inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Police also reported finding ammunition for multiple firearm types.<\/p>\n

Those included 9mm, 12-gauge, 20-gauge, .22-caliber, and 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition.<\/p>\n

Several spent .22-caliber casings were also found, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Investigators believed some casings suggested a firearm may have been fired from inside the truck.<\/p>\n

Tucker allegedly showed signs of alcohol use while speaking with police.<\/p>\n

The complaint describes slurred speech, glossy eyes, and an odor of alcohol.<\/p>\n

Open Alcohol Containers Reported<\/h2>\n

Police also reported finding several open alcoholic beverage containers.<\/p>\n

The complaint mentions Twisted Tea cans, a Michelob Ultra can, and a bottle of liqueur.<\/p>\n

Some containers were empty, while others still contained alcohol.<\/p>\n

Count Two charges Tucker under Minnesota Statute 169A.35<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint classifies the open-bottle charge as a misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

A conviction can carry up to 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n

A fine of up to $1,000 is also possible.<\/p>\n
