Polk County (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 Prosecutors have filed a felony complaint in Polk County District Court after a reported incident at a treatment center in East Grand Forks, according to court records in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District.<\/p>\n

The complaint names Derrick Delano McCuiston<\/strong>, born June 21, 1996, of St. Cloud, Minnesota<\/strong>, as the defendant.<\/p>\n

Felony and Misdemeanor Charges<\/h2>\n

McCuiston is charged with one felony count of threats of violence<\/strong>, court records say.<\/p>\n

Court records say officers were called at about 11:07 p.m.<\/strong> on Dec. 11, 2025<\/strong>, to EOSIS Northern Plains Treatment Center<\/strong> in East Grand Forks.<\/p>\n

The complaint says staff reported two clients were damaging property inside the building.<\/p>\n

Records also say a fire alarm was pulled.<\/p>\n

When police arrived, the complaint describes damage that included broken Christmas decorations and other items.<\/p>\n

The filing says McCuiston was seen holding a phone receiver and cord.<\/p>\n

Records say an officer told him to put it down due to safety concerns.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he did not comply at first.<\/p>\n

Police reported he later threw the phone to the side.<\/p>\n

Threats Alleged During Arrest and Transport<\/h2>\n
