{"id":46771,"date":"2026-09-07T13:16:07","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T18:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/?p=46771"},"modified":"2026-09-04T06:25:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T11:25:33","slug":"walker-man-faces-3-felonies-in-ammo-drug-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/walker-man-faces-3-felonies-in-ammo-drug-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Walker Man Faces 3 Felonies in Ammo, Drug Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Walker Man Faces 3 Felonies in Ammo, Drug Case<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Walker (<a href=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\">trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Wayland Lee Wilson faces three felony charges in Cass County District Court.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors accuse Wilson of illegally possessing live ammunition, methamphetamine and fentanyl.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged offenses happened on August 20, 2026, at a residence near Walker.<\/p>\n<p>The most serious charge carries up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.<\/p>\n<h2>Deputies Execute Search Warrant<\/h2>\n<p>Cass County deputies arrived at the residence around 9:15 a.m., according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities were looking for Wilson because of an outstanding warrant.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies entered the residence after knocking and announcing their presence.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson was found behind a locked bedroom door, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities arrested Wilson inside the bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies reported seeing drug paraphernalia in plain view.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators then obtained another search warrant for controlled substances inside the residence.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center; margin: 25px auto;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: inline-block;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Wilson-Wayland-Lee1.png\" alt=\"Wayland Lee Wilson mugshot\" \/><figcaption>Wayland Lee Wilson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Allegedly Found<\/h2>\n<p>Wilson&#8217;s tribal identification card was found inside the bedroom, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators also found a green container holding suspected methamphetamine.<\/p>\n<p>Another container allegedly held a second bindle of suspected methamphetamine.<\/p>\n<p>Field tests indicated both substances contained methamphetamine.<\/p>\n<p>The two amounts totaled approximately 1.84 grams.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies also reported finding a foil bindle containing suspected fentanyl.<\/p>\n<p>The substance tested positive for fentanyl and weighed approximately .77 grams with packaging.<\/p>\n<p>Other items were also collected during the search.<\/p>\n<h2>Live Ammunition Found in Bedroom<\/h2>\n<p>Investigators also found a red plastic container near the foot of the bed.<\/p>\n<p>The container held several rounds of live .45-caliber ammunition, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors allege Wilson was prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint cites a July 2025 felony fourth-degree assault conviction.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors allege that conviction qualifies as a crime of violence under Minnesota law.<\/p>\n<h2>Three Felony Charges Filed<\/h2>\n<p>The ammunition charge is filed under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/624.713\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Statute 624.713<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The charge carries up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson also faces two fifth-degree controlled substance charges.<\/p>\n<p>Those counts are filed under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/152.025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Statute 152.025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One count involves methamphetamine and the other involves fentanyl.<\/p>\n<p>Each drug charge carries up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>The case is State of Minnesota v.
