The investigation began around 5:09 p.m. on October 25, 2025.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement was traveling south on U.S. Highway 59 near East Adams Avenue.<\/p>\n
An officer saw a vehicle ahead pull onto the shoulder.<\/p>\n
The officer stopped behind the vehicle and conducted a welfare check.<\/p>\n
Roberts was identified as the driver, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Investigators reported that Roberts had droopy eyelids and facial and neck tremors.<\/p>\n
She was asked to complete several field sobriety tests.<\/p>\n
The complaint says Roberts had balance problems during the tests.<\/p>\n
Investigators also reported constant mouth movements and additional tremors.<\/p>\n
Roberts told authorities she had used drugs several days earlier.<\/p>\n
