A Bemidji man contacted law enforcement on May 31 to report his lost wallet.<\/p>\n
He said the wallet went missing two days earlier near Minnesota Avenue Northwest.<\/p>\n
The wallet contained $128 in cash and several financial cards, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
The man later learned one card had allegedly been used without his permission.<\/p>\n
A $139.40 purchase was made at Tobacco and Vapes on May 30.<\/p>\n
The man also received notice of a declined transaction at Walmart.<\/p>\n
That attempted purchase totaled $61.82, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Investigators contacted Walmart and obtained information about the declined transaction.<\/p>\n
Store staff provided a photograph showing a man and woman at the checkout.<\/p>\n
Authorities also received surveillance video from the store.<\/p>\n
