Warren Store Bad Checks Lead to Felony Charge<\/h2>\n

Investigators reported that all three checks were returned for insufficient funds.<\/p>\n

The store also reported $105 in returned-check fees.<\/p>\n

That brought the claimed total loss to $1,142.79, including those fees.<\/p>\n

Payment Notices Allegedly Returned<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, Jet Stop sent two certified demands seeking payment.<\/p>\n

Both notices were returned as undeliverable, prosecutors allege.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement later sent another payment demand on February 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

The complaint does not indicate that the checks were paid afterward.<\/p>\n

Minnesota law allows several dishonored checks to be combined for charging purposes.<\/p>\n

The checks must meet the requirements listed under the state statute.<\/p>\n

Checks totaling more than $500 can result in a felony charge.<\/p>\n
