Naytahwaush Man Charged After $16 Vehicle Theft<\/h2>\n

Naytahwaush<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Bryce Leroy Auginaush faces a misdemeanor theft charge in Mahnomen County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charge stems from a reported vehicle entry on November 6, 2025. The incident happened near a charter school in Naytahwaush.<\/p>\n

According to the criminal complaint, Michelle Wadena was told that someone had entered her vehicle. She later checked the vehicle and noticed two items were missing.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a pack of cigarettes and a lighter were taken. The combined value was about $16.<\/p>\n

Surveillance Video Cited<\/h2>\n

Court records say law enforcement reviewed surveillance video from the school area.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges the video showed Auginaush inside the building before he was asked to leave. It then showed him entering another vehicle.<\/p>\n

That vehicle later moved near Wadena’s vehicle, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Investigators allege Auginaush got out from the passenger side. The complaint says he then entered Wadena’s vehicle.<\/p>\n

The video appeared to show him looking around inside the vehicle, according to court records. He then returned to the other vehicle.<\/p>\n

Misdemeanor Theft Charge<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors charged Auginaush with misdemeanor theft under Minnesota law.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges he took movable property without the owner’s consent. It also alleges he intended to permanently deprive the owner of that property.<\/p>\n

The court document lists the property value as less than $500.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail. It also lists a possible fine of up to $1,000.<\/p>\n
